Great Lakes Naval Base - Camp John Paul Jones Great Lakes, IL MPC received a $22,000,000 HVAC contract for seven new Navy Multiple Recruit Barracks. Each pair of barracks share a mechanical plant that houses two steam fed absorption chillers, heat exchangers, custom fabricated steam pressure reducing stations, hot and chilled water pumps and condenser waste pumps. Each set of absorption chillers is served by four cooling towers. Four air handling units serve each building. Pre-insulated underground pipes transport steam, condensate, chilled water, and hot water between the buildings. |
